A car that vanished from St. Charles, Napoleon, or another posted parade route is a City of New Orleans impound until the Parking Division says otherwise. This page is that recovery script. It is not a listing for a company named Mardi Gras Towing.

Confirm the current no-parking window with the City or NOPD before you leave a car on a posted route. The City posts hard tow-away zones along St. Charles Avenue for Carnival season. Do not treat last year’s flyer as this year’s rule.

Call the City before you drive to a lot

Start at Find My Towed Vehicle. Then call (504) 658-8100 to ask whether the City has the car. To check a fee balance tied to a plate, call (504) 658-8284. Have the plate, the make, the color, and the block where you parked.

Payments go to 400 N. Claiborne Ave, New Orleans, LA 70112, under the expressway at Conti. The City lists that lot as open 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. The Cashiering Office at the same address is listed separately as 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Use the daily release window when you plan the pickup, and call to confirm same-day hours.

Vehicles stored more than 24 hours may move to 10200 Almonaster Ave. Pay at Claiborne either way. Confirm which lot is holding the car before you travel. See the City’s July 2026 retrieval instructions.

Bring photo ID and proof of ownership. Before release, all outstanding parking citations 90 or more days old must be paid in full. Effective July 27, 2026, the City’s Light Duty tow and impound is a $228.75 minimum for the first 90 minutes, then $76.25 per additional half-hour. That is the City’s fee, not a quote from us. We do not publish City storage or boot dollars while those sources conflict. Confirm storage with the Parking Division before you pay.

If the car is still on the street with a boot, stop. Use how to get a boot off in New Orleans. A boot is not a parade-route tow.

Parade route, meter, or private lot

A posted parade-route tow is a City job. A meter or street-cleaning tow in the same week can also be a City job. The (504) 658-8100 line sorts those. A French Quarter garage or a hotel lot is a private-property tow. Read the entrance sign. Under R.S. 32:1736, the sign must name the towing company, address, and phone in lettering no less than two inches high. Call that number. Do not drive to Claiborne on a private-lot guess.

If you parked in Jefferson Parish, including a lot in Jefferson on River Road, the City pound is the wrong desk. Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is (504) 363-5500, 1233 Westbank Expressway, Harvey.

For the longer location guide, use find your towed car in New Orleans. This page is the Carnival-route version of that call.

What Quick Tow cannot do

Quick Tow New Orleans matches drivers with licensed independent operators for a tow the driver requests. We do not run the City pound, we do not staff parade-route wreckers, and we cannot release a car at Claiborne. Calling (504) 474-5530 will not move your name up at the pound.

Call this line after the City releases the car if it still will not drive and you need it moved to an address you name. Our published light-duty hookup is $95. Confirm mileage before the operator rolls. The line takes calls 24/7. Calls to (504) 474-5530 are recorded.

When to call us

Call the City first. Call (504) 474-5530 only when you need a licensed operator for a requested tow after release, or for a breakdown on a block that is not already in City custody.
