A stalled car on Williams Boulevard is a Jefferson Parish street job. A dead battery in an MSY garage is a different call. This page is the Kenner street, lot, and I-10 answer. For terminals, decks, and airport-road access, use car breakdown near MSY.
Kenner sits on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish, west of Metairie, built around Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The operators we connect you with cannot find “somewhere in Kenner.” They need the boulevard, the block, and whether you are still in Jefferson Parish.
Start with Veterans, Williams, or I-10
Name the corridor first. Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Williams Boulevard, and I-10 send a truck to different pavement.
Veterans Memorial Boulevard
Veterans is the commercial spine. Use the numbered block or a cross street you can see: Loyola Drive, Power Boulevard, Williams. Say which side of Veterans you are on. Say if you are in a travel lane, a parking lot, or a service road. A lot name on the sign is useful. “Veterans near the airport” is not.
Williams Boulevard
Williams runs from the river toward the lake and crosses Veterans and I-10. Say whether you are south toward Rivertown or north toward the interstate. If you are on the raised house blocks, add the cross street. If you rolled into a driveway, say so. Tight Kenner driveways change the truck.
I-10 through Kenner
An interstate stall is a lane problem first. If you are in a live lane, call 911. Then report the direction, the nearest exit, and whether you made it to a shoulder. Kenner exits are not Metairie exits. “I-10 at Williams” and “I-10 at Causeway” are different jobs. Louisiana’s Motorist Assistance Patrol is a fixed-schedule patrol, not a call-out. Daytime coverage includes I-10 through this stretch. MAP can change a flat, put about a gallon of fuel in, jump a battery, and clear a disabled car from a travel lane. It does not tow the car to a Kenner shop.
If this stall is on the interstate rather than a Kenner curb, also read what to do on I-10 or the Causeway.
Decide whether roadside help may fit
A dead battery, an empty tank, or a flat with a usable spare is often roadside assistance. A car that will not roll, will not shift, or has taken on water needs a tow. Kenner rental returns produce a lot of jump-start calls. Say if the car is a rental. The operator still needs year, make, and whether it shifts to neutral.
If you have a motor club or a towing endorsement, call that number first. Louisiana does not require insurers to sell towing coverage. Liability is compulsory. Roadside help is a contract term you either bought or you did not.
A City of New Orleans impound is the wrong script here. Kenner is Jefferson Parish. If a deputy or a lot owner had the car towed, Jefferson Parish impound questions go through the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office at (504) 363-5500, 1233 Westbank Expressway, Harvey. Confirm the actual yard with JPSO. Do not drive to 400 N. Claiborne Ave unless the City of New Orleans is the agency that took the car.
Choose a Jefferson Parish destination before the car moves
Name a drop-off before the truck moves the car. A Kenner driveway, a shop on Veterans, or a lot you have already called is enough. “Just take it toward New Orleans” turns a local hookup into a parish-line run you did not mean to buy.
Say the city and the parish out loud. Kenner to Metairie stays in Jefferson Parish. Kenner to Mid-City crosses into Orleans Parish. That is a different run than a drop on Williams. If the shop closes before you get there, say where the car should sit instead.
You choose the destination on a consented breakdown. If a police officer is the one who arranges the tow, Louisiana treats that as a non-consensual tow even when you asked the officer for help. Non-consensual work is rate-capped by the Louisiana Public Service Commission. Those caps are not a quote for a job you book yourself. Read the current LPSC schedule if an officer is waving the truck in.
Our published light-duty hookup is $95. That is the hookup, not mileage, not a night charge, and not a parish impound. Confirm the full figure with the operator before the truck rolls.
What to confirm with the matched operator
Quick Tow New Orleans matches you with a licensed independent operator. We do not run the truck, the yard, or the bill.
Say this on the call, in this order:
- You are in Kenner, Jefferson Parish.
- Veterans, Williams, I-10, or a named side street, plus a cross street.
- Year, make, model, color, and whether you have keys.
- What failed, and whether the car rolls or shifts to neutral.
- The exact drop-off address, including parish.
- Whether this is a rental, and whether anyone is still with the car.
Then confirm the truck type. A low car or a car that will not go into neutral may need a flatbed. Ask which setup they are sending. The line takes calls 24/7. Calls to (504) 474-5530 are recorded.
When to call us
Call when the car cannot stay on a Kenner street, lot, or I-10 shoulder, and you need a licensed operator to move it to an address you name. If you are inside an MSY garage, start with the airport article instead. Call (504) 474-5530 and we will connect you with a licensed local operator.
